The deal which is estimated to be worth more than Ksh50 million will run for one year.

KTDA board reached the decision on September 30 after Obare’s daring exposé on money laundering schemes aka washwash.

Acting board chairman said Obare cementing himself as the tea master was the leading influence of the decision.

Obare is not only charged with spearheading brand awareness but also exposing officials in the agency who are responsible for mismanaging funds.

The embattled tea agency has in the recent past experienced uproar from farmers who cited poor and late payments and poorer working conditions

KTDA has also monopolised the tea sector making it easier for the to dupe and steal from all farmers at the same time.

When contacted for a comment, Obare said the public will get more information after he gets his Instagram account back.

The account was deactivated after he spilled tea about how our favorite tv personalities, online braggadocio, politicians and churches are involved in money laundering and scamming.
